What's Up at The School of BNC
Ballet Nouveau Colorado is Expanding its Facilities!
As Ballet Nouveau Colorado grows, we are constantly discovering new and unexpected necessities to both continue to provide and improve the quality dance education you have come to expect from us. Most recently, we have discovered exciting shifts in the growth patterns of our student population. Put more simply, many of our levels are bursting at the seams. Many others will be in the very near future.
We are very pleased to announce that we will be expanding our facilities.
Part of our philosophy at BNC is that every student receives direct personal attention and room to truly move in our classes. This is precisely why we have class size limits. As we looked to the future, even to only the Fall, we discovered that we would have to start turning away large numbers of students to maintain these very important standards. We have concluded that this is simply not an option.
The new addition will be the unit directly to the west of the space we currently occupy. This addition will seamlessly integrate with our current space and will include two new studios, bringing our total to five. Furthermore, the space will provide additional dressing rooms to allow for the school’s continually growing male population and a separate office for our education staff.

Student Production Tickets
Tickets to our student productions will go on sale Monday, March 15. You will be able to purchase tickets by phone, in person, and for the first time, online! More details to come next week, including the link to send to your friends and family.

Physical Therapy Sessions at BNC
Dance Medicine Specialist Jan Dunn and Physical Therapist Sarah Graham have teamed up to bring onsite care to BNC dancers! Sessions are $25 for 30 minutes and are available on the first Monday of each month beginning March 1 through May 3. Call 303.466.5685 for sign ups and details.

Gala Costume Order Forms
Gala costume order forms are due no later than Saturday, February 20. Please visit the front desk to make your payment with Visa, MasterCard, check or cash. If your dancer is not participating in Gala this year, please let the front desk know as soon as possible.
Help Keep Your Dancers Injury-Free
BNC is partnering with Physical Therapist Sarah Graham and Dance Medicine Specialist Jan Dunn to bring onsite care to our student dancers. Students will be seen individually for evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of dance injuries, as well as for technique assessments and recommendations. School Director Julia Wilkinson Manley will be present for all appointments. Parents are welcome and encouraged to observe dance medicine sessions with their dancer. Sessions are only $25 for 30 minutes. See the front desk for details and sign-ups.

Love. an internal affair.
This show features 5 world premieres choreographed by your beloved teachers, Jason Franklin, Damien Patterson and Sarah Tallman along with Company Dancer David Barbour and Artistic Director Garrett Ammon. This show is performing for ONE weekend only at the Performing Arts Complex at PCS this coming Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm. BNC students receive 30% off of their tickets. Volunteers Needed!
With every fantastic production, we need fantastic volunteers! We are in need of volunteers for all performances of Love. an internal affair. Volunteers can watch the show for FREE sitting in row M, or purchase a 50% off ticket to sit with friends and family. Contact 303.466.5685 to sign up.

Pre-School Gala Celebration Update
Pre-School Gala costume order forms are due this Saturday, February 13! See the front desk for questions and to try on tights and leotards. REMINDER: Performing students may not be absent more than 4 times in any single performing class between February 15 and May 1. Classes during May 2-May 8 are mandatory.
Gala Update for Levels I-F
Order forms for “Happy Days are Here Again – Music from the Small Screen” 2010 Gala are due on February 20. See the front desk for questions and to try on tights and leotards. REMINDER: Performing students may not be absent more than 4 times in any single performing class between February 22 and May 15. Classes between May 17 and June 2 are mandatory, including classes held on Memorial Day weekend.
Summer Materials
2010 Summer information is posted on our website! Check out the Advanced Summer Intensive and our other awesome Summer Programs! Assessments will be emailed in mid March. All students must be assessed before registering for classes.

Gala Information
Gala Information packets for levels I-F will be distributed in your ballet classes this week! Please review this information carefully. Payments for Gala costumes are due no later than February 20. Pre-School Gala Costume order forms are due February 13. Stop by the front desk before you place your order to try on sample sizes for leotards and tights. If you have any questions at all, please stop by the front desk. We are happy to help!

Meet Lauren
Stop by the front desk to meet our new Administrative Assistant, Lauren Ponder! Lauren hails from Belleville, Illinois, where she first developed her passion for dance. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Technology from Saint Louis University AND a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Lindenwood University! We are very excited to have Lauren be a part of our BNC Family!
Gala Information

Kids’ Nite Out Fundraiser!
This Saturday, January 23 is Kids’ Nite Out! Drop the kiddos off for a fun-filled evening of games, healthy snacks, movies, and more! The cost is $15 per child. Siblings and friends are welcome, too!
